Creating Your Social Media Content Calendar For 2024 - Real Estate Marketing - Realtor Marketing - Agent Operations

The new year will be here before we know it, so it’s time to start planning your social media content calendars. If you’ve never created one before, it can be a little overwhelming, but luckily, we have some great tips for creating your calendar and sticking with it!

If you don’t have time to create your calendar, no problem! Agent Operations offers social media services, and we would love to help you take your social media to the next level!

Set Goals

While many real estate agents post on social media just to stay relevant and top of mind to potential clients, there are other goals you should consider when creating your content calendar.

Ask yourself what you want to accomplish by posting. Are you looking to:

  • Get more leads/clients?
  • Gain traffic to your website?
  • Get more online reviews?
  • Increase brand recognition?

Regardless of your goals, it’s important to set them before you create your calendar to align your content with your goals.

Get Organized

There are a few ways you can organize your calendar, including a traditional pen and paper or project management programs. However, we have found that spreadsheets are a great option! Not only is it free, but it’s a relatively easy program to figure out, and it’s easy to edit things when needed.

If you prefer to explore other options, more power to you! Whatever works best for you and your business is the way to go.

Be Consistent

Having a content calendar will allow you to remain consistent, which is always helpful when posting on social media. People want to hear what you have to say, and only posting one time per week or month isn’t going to do you much good. We’re not saying you need to post every day, but posting a few times a week will help keep your name top of mind and help with social media algorithms.

Diversify

In addition to posting consistently, you should also diversify the types of content you’re posting. Try posting a few different kinds of content and see which ones get more engagement and clicks from your followers, then try to incorporate more of those in the future.

A few examples of content include:

  • Buyer or seller tips
  • Market updates
  • New listings/just sold homes
  • Business announcements
  • Community spotlights

Social media continues to be a huge platform for real estate, so you should get on board if you’re not already.
